Delivery information

All orders placed with Leitner are delivered by GLS to the countries listed below. For delivery to countries outside of the European Union, you will be responsible for paying any import duties due on your purchases.
Dispatching to non-EU countries may also be subject to additional customs charges and taxes.
Catalogues and samples are sent free-of-charge.

Why are no exact delivery times provided online?

As all products from LEITNER Leinen are finished to order, we can only provide accurate delivery times once we have received your order. Most orders are delivered within 12 working days.

Do you offer express delivery?

No, we only offer delivery by GLS.

Why am I not able to buy all items online?

As our range of products encompasses many custom sizes and these products are made to order, we recommend visiting a LEITNER Leinen retailer near you for ordering these items.

Where can I buy items which are not available online?

Any products that are not available to order on our website can be ordered from your nearest LEITNER Leinen retailer.
Alternatively, you can save the desired product in your wish list and transmit this to us. We'd be glad to assist you further

What payment options are available?

We accept the following payment methods: Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, and also prepayment by cash.

Can I return items?

For returns, exchanges, or to register a complaint, please refer to our terms and conditions.

I am a customer based in the USA/Canada and I cannot find the standard sizes available on the LEITNER Leinen website.

As North American standard sizes differ from the standard sizes in Europe, we do not list these sizes on our website. Information on sizes and ordering are available from your local LEITNER Leinen retailer.

Is it possible to order custom sizes?

Our products are available in custom sizes upon request, and can be finished to your specifications and requirements.
For expert advice and recommendations, please contact your local LEITNER Leinen retailer.

What size should I order?

All LEITNER Leinen products will shrink slightly the first time they are washed.
This is taken into account when manufacturing our products, and therefore some products may not meet the specified measurements exactly until after the first wash.
The calculations used by LEITNER Leinen during manufacturing to compensate for the shrinkage are based on years of experience. As linen is manufactured from natural fibres, some minor differences may also be present.
The natural shrinking of linen is not applicable for the following products: Small items like napkins, pillows (up to 50 x 50 cm), bordered towels and curtains.

Where can I find washing and care instructions for linen?

So that your LEITNER Leinen purchases last for as long as possible, please follow the washing and care instructions for your linen very carefully.
Taking proper care of your linen is not expensive, but should be paid proper attention.
We provide thorough care instructions with every purchase.

Is it normal that my towels aren’t very absorbent?

All bathroom items from LEITNER Leinen should be washed at least once prior to use, so that they are properly absorbent. This also applies to kitchen tea towels.
With each wash towels will become more absorbent.

There is a loose thread on my towel, should I pull it out?

To prevent damage to your towel, we recommend cutting the loose thread instead of pulling it out.
It is normal for threads in terry cloth to become loose from normal use.
Cutting a loose thread will not have an effect on the appearance or performance of the towel.

Why does my purchase not look exactly the same colour as on the LEITNER Leinen website?

Modern computer screens do not always provide an accurate colour representation, and products can appear to be different colours depending on the screen.
Generally these colour differences are very minor though. If you are still unsure, please request a free sample swatch of a fabric from our website.

I’ve forgotten the password for my account on the LEITNER Leinen website. What should I do?

If you forget your login information for the LEITNER Leinen website, you can request a new password using this link.

Can I use a different billing address to my delivery address?

It is not a problem to use a different address for delivery when placing your order.

Can I amend an order that I have already placed?

If you would like to amend an order that you have already placed, please contact our customer care team on +43 (0) 7288 / 7017 or email shop@leitnerleinen.com.

Can I cancel my order if it has not been dispatched yet?

Yes, this should still be possible. Please email shop@leitnerleinen.com oder or call us on +43 (0) 7288 / 7017, including your order reference number.

What should I do if I receive the wrong item?

If you receive an incorrect item, please contact our customer care team on +43 (0) 7288 / 7017 or email shop@leitnerleinen.com, who will be happy to help you. We’re here to help Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm, and Fridays from 8am to 1pm.

If I want to return an item, will the costs to send the item back be refunded to me?

No, if you decide to return an item you will be responsible for the costs of sending it back.

When will I receive my refund if I send my unwanted items back?

Your refund will be processed immediately following receipt and inspection of the returned items. The estimated time frame for you to receive your return payment will vary depending on the payment method used for your original purchase.

For delivery to a non-EU foreign country, will I be reimbursed for the VAT?

Yes. Please note that the reimbursement can take a few days, and that an export certificate from our parcel service is required.

How are my entered data protected?

LEITNER Leinen uses a secure transfer method – the so called „Secure Socket Layer“-(SSL-) for processing client data.
By converting data into code your personal data will be encrypted by our security-server-software.
This process prevents your data from access by unauthorized persons during data-transfer.
