The diversity of marine life was the great passion of German biologist Ernst Haeckel. He captured the beauty of jellyfish - also called Medusa - in sensational drawings. One of his studies served as the inspiration for this design, which was developed in collaboration with the ErnstHaeckel-Haus museum in Jena, Germany. Ethereal creatures, floating as if bodiless - spellbound on fabric.
In honour of the Golden Age of fancy patterns we recovered this treasure of 1950’s living from our own mill’s walls. Meet Savanna - our 2019 favourite.
Over generations the weavers of the Austrian Mühlviertel have created a remarkable collection of traditional patterns. We went on a track for traces ourselves adding a new piece to our heritage.
